Our 3rd Digital Camera - Canon Digital Rebel

After waiting several years to get digital SLR camera, we bought our first SLR digital camera in Sept 2003. This Canon Digital Rebel is also called 300D in Asia and Europe market.

We bought is 6.5M pixel camera in a kit coming with a EF-S 18 - 55 mm (3x) lens. The reason we got this digital camera is we had been using Canon SLR camera since 1994 and got several Canon lens already. It is an excellent SLR digital camera and well fit in my hand. We really like the functionality it provides including Sensitivity(ISO100-1600), Depth of field preview, wired or wireless remote and many others. We use it in our studio and found it works very well with our Novatron studio lighting kit.

In Summer of 2004, we brought this camera to our 2 weeks southwest trip and visited Yellowstone and other several national parks. We enjoy to use it very much. Since it 2003 release, there are 3 more Canon Digital Rebel(XT, XTi and XSi) come to market. Till today, we have been using our Canon Digital Rebel for over 5 years and still enjoy to use it.

Comparing to today's SLR digital camera, it is a little bit heavy and big. We bought 2 extra rechargeable batter for day trips. CF card is used for this camera.
